  So for the atmosphere, I'd give Gull Dam a 5 star review ... games, really friendly staff, great outdoor area with a bonfire pit and stage for live music. But, we weren't impressed with the beer. Tried a flight and nothing jumped out to us ... it was just okay.

  Gull Dam Brewing's tap room and overall atmosphere is the nicest in the Lakes Area. They often have live music and food trucks. The people watching is some of the best in the area.
  
  Where things fall short (VERY SHORT) is the beer. Trust me, I keep returning hoping that the "new brewery" learning curve is conquered, because this place has lots of potential. I have tasted serious off flavors and infections on every visit. There have even been beers I didn't finish.... This is a rare occasion for this beer lover.
  
  What has been drinkable has never wow'ed me. I would describe all the beers as single note on their hop and malt character. When going here, I would recommend ordering a single flight or requesting a sample before ordering a pint. Beer should be ingested not wasted!
